Comus House At Denner Vineyards

Comus House at Denner Vineyards

In an effort to expand our wine palates’ horizons we ventured up the 101 this weekend to taste a whole new terroir in Paso Robles. As a special added bonus, we also booked a night at the Comus House at Denner Vineyards. The wine was interesting (more wine tasting details here), but the highlight of this trip was definitely Comus House!

Upon arrival we were greeted with a cheese plate and an array of Denner Vineyards wines (possibly the best all day after tasting all day!) and got a tour of the house. Since we were the only guests the night we were there they let us have the run of the house and upgraded us to any room that we wanted. Naturally, we picked the spacious Dirt Worshipper room and never wanted to leave! We had even planned a fancy birthday dinner in town but opted to order in and hang out at the house just so that we could revel in it that much longer. Our own private terrace in the middle of a vineyard trumps any other dinner option in my book.

The hosts reminded us of our very dear friends who are always cooking up fantastic meals and sharing great ideas for things to do in the area. The next morning we were spoiled with a 5-course breakfast made by Felisa that was overly generous and overly delicious! Nothing was spared, we will definitely be back.

See for yourself!
