Travertine Hot Springs

These pools are a must-see stop on the way to &/or from Burning Man, snowboarding at Mammoth or any decent roadtrip along the 395… I’ve been there a couple different times when nobody else was there, a soaker’s dream! They’re not far off the road and have spectacular views. Enjoy!

Directions to Travertine Hot Springs, Bridgeport, CA
Take RT 395 south from Carson City to Bridgeport (CA). Continue about .3 miles south of Bridgeport then go east (left) on Jack Sawyer Rd. (paved). Where the road turns right, continue straight onto an unpaved road. Pass the quarry site, up a hill to the hot springs site. There are both lower and upper pools. (http://www.swimmingholes.org)
