Lukula Selous is a private photographic sanctuary of over 300,000 acres set in the southern region of the world famous Selous Game Reserve. Guests have the opportunity to explore this wilderness in complete privacy and with total freedom under expert guidance. The Selous Game Reserve is world renowned for its wild character and large populations of elephant, buffalo, lion and leopard, as well as crocodile and African wild dog. Lukula Selous boasts a diverse landscape seldom visited and unchanged by man.
The luxury tented camp uses the influences of Frederick Courtney Selous in its design. The lodge is secluded, right on the banks of the Luwego River and spread out amongst a large shady riverine forest characterised by fig and sausage trees. Each of the four spacious tents lies in cool shade with beautiful views across the water. The sight and sound of hippo and plains game is a daily occurrence enjoyed from bed or the canvas verandas. Lukula Selous offers the authentic safari experience with extraordinary wildlife viewing and encounters.
