We hopped up bright and early in our Florence Airbnb as we had a long morning full of driving to get to Venice for the weekend! Mik’s birthday was on Saturday and we wanted to celebrate in style on the banks of the canals…

I found a reasonably priced parking lot near the airport that had a shuttle that took us to the water taxis to get into Venice. Honestly, I’m kind of an idiot because the guy at the parking lot said he’d take us to get a taxi and I thought it was going to be a car. 🙈 Nope, a boat taxi!
